For most healthy adults, professionally administered IV hydration is safe, provided it is screened and delivered by a licensed clinician. Here is what to know before your first drip.
How safety is ensured
Every Opal & Oath infusion begins with a phone consultation, an online intake form, and Medical Director approval to rule out contraindications. Your registered nurse monitors you throughout the session. All nurses are licensed and insured in the State of Georgia.
Who should use caution
People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who have heart, kidney, or certain other conditions, may need clearance from their physician first. We generally do not recommend IV hydration during pregnancy or breastfeeding without OB-GYN authorization. When in doubt, our team will guide you. Learn more about our mobile IV service.
